FAQ

Answers to Common Questions

If you don't see your question here, we'd love to answer it

in a quick email or on your Clarity Session.

Getting Started

Do we both need to be on board to start?

Ideally, yes—coaching works best when both spouses are willing to participate. However, we've seen God do remarkable things when one spouse shows up with a willing heart. We can work with one partner for an initial Clarity Session, and many times the other spouse becomes open once they see the commitment and results.

If your spouse isn't ready, we also have resources and a coaching track for individuals who want to grow personally while trusting God to move in their marriage.

What happens during the Clarity Session?

A Clarity Session is a 45-minute conversation (via Zoom or in-person) where we get to know your story, understand what's really happening beneath the surface, and discern the best next step for your marriage. You'll leave with clarity on 1–2 core patterns affecting your relationship and a Spirit-led action plan.

If you continue with coaching, the $97 session fee is applied toward your package.

How long does coaching typically last?

It depends on your goals and the package you choose. The Foundations Package (6 sessions) typically spans 6–10 weeks. The Restoration Intensive (12 sessions) runs 4–6 months. Some couples continue beyond their package for maintenance coaching or deeper work.

We move at your pace — we'll never rush transformation. Real change takes time, and we're committed to walking with you through it.

OUR APPROACH

Are you licensed counselors or pastors?

We are Kingdom-trained marriage mentors and coaches with over 20 years of pastoral experience. We are not licensed therapists or clinical counselors. Our approach is grounded in Biblical counseling principles, practical communication tools, and Spirit-led prayer—not clinical psychology.

For couples dealing with severe trauma, mental health disorders, or substance abuse, we may recommend working alongside a licensed therapist. We're happy to co-labor with other professionals when it serves you best.

What if our situation feels "too far gone"?

We've heard this from many of the couples we now celebrate. Kingdom Marriage Mentors was born from our own near-divorce story — so we do not believe any marriage that has even a flicker of willingness is too far gone for God.

We won't make promises we can't keep, but we will tell you this: if you both show up with an open heart, we will pray, work, and believe alongside you. The Restoration Intensive was specifically designed for couples at critical crossroads.

Is this coaching or counseling? What's the difference?

Counseling tends to focus on processing the past and healing wounds. Coaching focuses on moving forward with intention, clarity, and action—while still addressing roots when needed. Our approach is a blend: we honor your story, do the healing work, and help you build toward the marriage God designed.

We also integrate prayer, Scripture, and prophetic ministry in ways that traditional counseling typically doesn't.

Practical Questions

Do you work with couples online or only in-person?

We work with couples worldwide via Zoom. We've served couples across the United States, Africa, Europe, and beyond. In-person sessions are available for couples local to our area upon request.

Is everything we share kept confidential?

Absolutely. Everything shared in our sessions is held in the strictest confidence. We take the trust you place in us seriously — spiritually and practically. Testimonials shared on our site use changed names and are shared only with written permission.

Can churches or organizations bring you in?

Yes! We love partnering with churches, ministries, and organizations to host marriage workshops, weekend retreats, couples conferences, and pre-marital intensives. We also offer staff and pastoral couple coaching.

Retreats & Resources

When is the next retreat and how do I sign up?

Our next group retreat is currently being planned for Spring 2027. Spots are limited (8 couples max) and typically fill through our interest list before doors open publicly.

Join the Retreat Interest List to be notified first when registration opens.

Do I need to be in coaching to purchase a book or course?

Not at all! Our books, devotionals, and courses are designed to be standalone tools for any couple at any stage. Many couples begin with a resource and later move into coaching as they're ready — and that's a completely valid pathway.

Are your courses available in Spanish or other languages?

Not yet — but it's on our heart! We're actively working on Spanish translations for our devotionals. If you have a specific language request, let us know and we'll prioritize based on demand.

Still Unsure If This Is for You?

Use the form below to share a bit of your story. We'll prayerfully respond within 2–3 business days with honest guidance—even if that means referring you elsewhere.
